The Faculty

The Faculty

SUPINFO’s pedagogy is subject to ongoing research involving all faculty members. SUPINFO’s education programme includes all the specialised subjects which make up computer science: software engineering, systems and networks, artificial intelligence, data analysis, business intelligence, Internet and intranet technologies, multimedia, etc. The Academy’s aim is to provide both theoretical and practical training to prepare students for careers as experts in the IT industry. SUPINFO’s training also includes all the general knowledge subjects: international studies in human sciences, economics, law, and management.

SUPINFO teachers select and train several graduate students in the last years of graduate studies who become their lab teaching assistants. In their teaching, they naturally include innovations related to the technologies in the market.

Attention to the market and to the students is at the top of the priorities of all members of the faculty in all SUPINFO schools. They have instigated the creation of an Improvement Committee, the SUPINFO Advisory Board or SAB. Among the SAB’s active members are the Academy’s administration represented by its President, the Academic Director, the Studies Director, alumni, teachers, and representatives of our partners from the computer industry. These people, with their different backgrounds and their intrinsic skills and knowledge, contribute in enhancing all aspects of the Academy.

Moreover, partnerships have been established with major actors of the IT industry such as Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Sun, Apple and Cisco to ensure students get perfect mastery of the environments they will use in their professional career. A programme has been specifically created with these partners to integrate into the SUPINFO studies high-level training on the technologies available on the market. The school offers its students our partners' official Certification exams (Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Certification Mandriva Linux, etc.). The impact of the training is guaranteed through three levels:

First, the transmission of knowledge is ensured through state-of-the-art lessons, the integration of multimedia tools, conferences and demonstrations, practical case studies and the presentation of the newest technologies by the students in charge of the laboratories.

Secondly, students acquire a real know-how through the many projects they must carry out individually or in groups on subjects chosen by their teachers to mirror problems and situations arising in modern businesses.

Last but not least, SUPINFO students' professionalism is guaranteed by the  internships they carry out throughout their studies and which amount to 2 full years professional experience by the time they graduate.

The Improvement Committee

Attention to the market and to the students is at the top of the priorities of all members of the faculty in all SUPINFO schools. They have instigated the creation of an Improvement Committee, the SUPINFO Advisory Board or SAB.

Among the SAB’s active members are the Academy’s administration represented by its President, the Academic Director, the Studies Director, alumni, student representatives, teachers, and representatives of our partners from the computer industry. These people, with their different backgrounds and their intrinsic skills and knowledge, contribute in enhancing all aspects of the Academy. Through meetings and the use of intranet, the representative of each class are aware of the needs of their peers and can set them forth during the assembly. Our industry partner representatives contribute by explaining their needs and choices, giving crucial information to the teachers who can then adapt their lessons in accordance with the needs of a constantly evolving market. Everyone involved is invited to participate in the exchanges and in the decision making process. Hence, through the Improvement Committee, the students are stakeholders in their school and are aware of the choices made by the Academy.

The Improvement Committee meets several times a year in order to review what has already been put in place and decide what must be undertaken.
