A new project with strong added-value has been created at the heart of the SGN, SUPINFO's global and transcontinental network.
This ToIP (Telephony over IP) project devised in partnership with Cisco using the Cisco SoftPhone software offers all SUPINFO community member a virtual phone installed on their own personal computer which they can use to communicate vocally or by video conference free of charge at anytime and from virtually anywhere.
Free Local and International Calls
The SUPINFONE allows its users to enjoy free calls to all fixed lines (and in some cases to cell phones) anywhere in the world. Calls are unlimited and are part of the SUPINFO offer. The SIP protocol even allows students to install compatible telephone equipment in their own homes.
A state-of-the-art technology

Increasing the exchange opportunities between SUPINFO community members
Communication is made easier thanks to this new tool and community members can now work without restraints of time or location. Equipped with an email address and free lifetime access to the SUPINFO Global Network (SGN), students can with one click call their teachers to ask questions, contact alumni, leave instant voice messages on the SUPINFO email...
Group work and multi-cultural exchanges, both of which form the basis of SUPINFO's teaching, are also made easier: students can organize their own conferences to manage their projects and experiment with work solutions which they will be faced with when working on projects in collaboration with teams located all over the world.
Apart from the technological aspect provided by the SUPINFONE, this new tool represents a real educational innovation and is a first in the education field worlwide.
