Regardless of which diploma you are planning to undertake, DEUG, DUT, BTS or an academic degree, you will have to choose whether to enter the labour market or to continue your studies. Although the DUT and BTS diplomas have been designed for students to step into the labour market easily, against an increasingly demanding market, their holders are nowadays forced to carry on studying in the hope of getting a job and better salary. Such is the case of two BTS out of three and four DUT out of five.
However, for the students in special classes or DEUG holders, further studies are imperative because these courses are primarily a means to achieve higher levels. If the academic degrees (including professional degrees) and the Masters are being recognised more and more by employers, their theoretical aspect leads to a growing number of students extending their studies through highly specialised training such as that offered by SUPINFO.
"SUPINFO places great importance on parallel admissions"
In spite of being more selective at this level of recruitment, SUPINFO places great importance on direct parallel admissions so that the first year of the engineering cycle can be integrated. The recruitment of parallel admissions is proving increasingly popular among students. Although less theoretical, it is clearly focused on personal motivations and professional projects.
However, SUPINFO is giving priority to students who have already joined the preparatory cycle of the school, and the number of places available to applicants holding a BTS, DEUG, DUT or other Scientific themed BAC+2, remains limited. SUPINFO has not organised any specific graduates’ recruitment and therefore most of these diploma holders enrol during the first year of the engineering cycle like DEUG, BTS and DUT.
"Any studies must correspond to a specific career plan"
You should know that the time taken to get a CDI (Contract of employment of indefinite duration) is even longer when the level of education and skill is low. However, in all cases, any further studies must correspond to a specific career plan because there is no need to extend the duration of your studies if they do not lead to the job you have chosen.
Experience shows that at SUPINFO, the students from the BTS course and especially from the DUT course demonstrate practical skills which are consistent with the expected pragmatism in computer science. They therefore, feel quickly at ease in technical subjects and during sessions of TP. They represent a good way to balance the years comprising a majority of students who have attended an integrated preparatory class at SUPINFO.
However, it must be noted that, compared to the latter, the students of BTS, DUT and especially DEUG or those from standard preparatory classes show wide gaps in their knowledge of the IT subjects which form an integral part of SUPINFO's preparatory programme.
