SUPINFO and Intel sign a unique educational partnership in France
As part of its program on Higher Education, Intel has reached an educational partnership agreement with the International Institute of Information Technology SUPINFO. This agreement, which is unique in France, is implemented at all SUPINFO-campuses in France and abroad.
Intel, world leader in the processor market, has signed an educational partnership agreement with the International Institute of Information Technology SUPINFO; the world leading Information Technology Institute: SUPINFO International University, located in France. At present, this is a unique partnership between the American company and a higher education institution based in France. The content of this agreement has two main components:
• Access to training content developed by Intel and integrated into the curriculum for SUPINFO-students: such material (lectures and labs) are both, simultaneously, a renewal and an enrichment of education provided by SUPINFO in the areas of operating systems, computing architecture and computer programming. These tuitions are spread over several years of training courses for students.
• Awareness and Training in "Parallel Programming" by such unprecedented competitive means launched by Intel to students: participation of SUPINFO-students, supervised by their teachers, will provide access to technology resources allowing for competing teams to develop and test their solutions.
This new partnership is part of the permanent SUPINFO-will to offer its' students a definitely modern, professional and needs-adjustable training, meeting also the expectations of the businesses.
« To me this partnership seems particularly interesting, because SUPINFO is the first educational institute in France to include these contents in the very heart of its' training program. This allows students to truly understand how to take full advantage of Intel's multi-core technology in the development of new software. From January 2011 onwards, this course will be taught to all students, at all SUPINFO-campuses in France and worldwide. We are very pleased to start up this program and we are ready to help SUPINFO any which way we can. » Scott APELAND said, Director of the Developer Relations Division of Intel.
« Starting this year 2010-11, several training modules are modified and enriched by this new partnership with Intel. Our students will benefit from the training contents directly provided by our new partner in the areas of micro-processors and parallel programming. Once again, this partnership shows the significant and actual interest of world leaders in our educational approach of engineers with regard to technologies and information systems » Thierry Boidart, Director of Strategic Partnerships of SUPINFO International University, adds.
