After the opening in Martinique in 2001 and Reunion in 2002, SUPINFO confirms its place as the first ultramarine IT school by opening a school in Guadeloupe from the 2008 - 2009 academic year.
Many students from Guadeloupe have already enrolled at SUPINFO Martinique, in the mainland, the United Kingdom, Canada and China; they can now study in Guadeloupe and make their contribution to the economic development. |
High speed internet access, WiFi access coupled with a landline network, VoIP...The students in Guadeloupe can therefore benefit from the same technological resources as the other SUPINFO sites in France, China, Canada, the United Kingdom and in the rest of the world.
Likewise, the course and educational material will be delivered to the global SUPINFO standard and upon graduating, the students in SUPINFO Guadeloupe will be awarded the SUPINFO Paris diploma.
SUPINFO Caribbean in Guadeloupe will be an integral part of the world-wide SUPINFO network thus enabling students to fully enjoy the mobility opportunities offered by SUPINFO: each year they can freely choose at which of the various SUPINFO sites they wish to study. Moreover, they will be able to visit other SUPINFO schools during the school term, attending classes for a few days or even weeks.
In order to ensure the uniformity of training delivered to the students in Guadeloupe, all the SUPINFO laboratories are supplied with equipment from the world IT leaders (Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Apple, Mandriva, Sun, Novell, Oracle...) and will be open at the beginning of the academic year.
The full 5-year curriculum of SUPINFO International Master of Science will be available within a maximum of 3 years.

A few words about Guadeloupe
 |
Guadeloupe is both an overseas region and a French overseas department. This small archipelago of the West Indies in the Caribbean is located approximately 7,000 km away from the mainland, 600 km from the Dominican Republic and 950 km from the southeast of the United States.
Formerly called Calaou çaera then Karukera, "island of beautiful waters", Guadeloupe (Guadelupe in Spanish), comes from the Virgen de Guadelupe (Our Lady of Guadelupe), a local saint from the province of Caceres in Extremadura.
The department of Guadeloupe includes, administratively, eight islands and several islets. The Basse-Terre Island and the Grande-Terre Island form Guadeloupe, in the wider sense. Its adjacent islands are Marie-Galante (south), the Saintes - Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas - (south) and the Desirade (east). |
