Cost of living in Montreal
The cost of living is lower in Montreal than in any other north-american cities, lower than in Paris and of course lower than in London! Let's not even mention Tokyo...
Generally speaking, consumer goods such as softdrinks, food, etc... are 30% cheaper than in Paris except for alcohol (beer, wine) and cheese which are more expensive in Montreal (around 20 to 30% more than in France).

Transports
The Transport company of Montreal (STM) has granted SUPINFO students a 50% discount on their monthly travel card (CAM). It's the Montreal equivalent to the French Carte Orange. The normal price of the card is 65 $CAN but you can get it at half price after buying a "Student Priviledge Card" from the Berri-UQAM metro station for $CAN 10. SUPINFO being located in the center of Montreal, it is best reached by tube. The MdGill station is only around the corner from the school. Of course, you can choose to use the bus or drive.
