• The Fêtes Johanniques, each year in May is Orleans' most popular event.
• Fête de la Saint-Fiacre, in the Saint-Marceau neighbourhood, is held each year and honours the horticultural trades during 3 days.
• Fête de la Saint-Aignan, in November, in the Saint-Aignan neighbourhood has been replaced in 2005 by a music festival: le Festival De Travers.
• Orléans'jazz a musical festival held in July since 1991.
• International piano contest: started by Françoise Thinat in 1994 it is held every two years.
• Le Festival de Loire in September every two years.
• Grande braderie, traditionally held at the end of July.
• Archilab, created in 1999 is an architectural event featuring several exhibitions

- The Zénith d'Orléans, is a large concert hall which can hold up to 7 000 spectators;
- Le Carré Saint-Vincent
- L'Institut musical d'Orléans dedicated to classical music seats 400 spectators.
- L'Astrolabe is the concert hall for modern music in Orléans.
- Le théatre Gérard Philipe has 600 seats and was renovated in 2006.
