London is one of the the world's most important business and financial centres. London is the most populous city in the European Union with a population of 7.5 millions. Its population is very cosmopolitan. Over 300 different languages are spoken.

London is a major centre for international business and commerce and is one of three "command centres" for the global economy (along with New York City and Tokyo). London's largest industry remains finance. The City is the largest financial and business centre in Europe. The government has made it one of its main goals to develop the IT industry in Great Britain. “The UK needs to prepare for increasing competition from countries such as India and China. We need more highly skilled IT professionals in the UK” declared Elizabeth Sparrow of The British Computer Society.
Culture
London’s cultural scene is one the most active and it offers all kinds of cultural experiences: classical, traditional but also modern or “Avant-guard” exhibitions or shows can be found all over the city.
A lot of monuments and museums, like Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, The London eye, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, St. Paul's Cathedral, Hyde Park…offer an almost unlimited selection of sightseeing trips.
