SUPINFO Summer School in Beijing this summer !
Get to know China, discover the rich Chinese culture and the dynamism of its development! This summer, SUPINFO invites you to participate in its Summer School in Beijing.
With an average of 15 hours per week, you will learn the basics of Chinese language, allowing you to quickly express yourself in Chinese; you will better understand Chinese history and culture, for example through the calligraphy practice and New Chinese technologies. Every week, cultural excursions will be organized. Discover Tian'an Men Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Great Wall, the Beijing National Stadium and many more!

Admission Conditions :
- Have a valid passport valid at least 6 months after the date of return. (If you do not you're your passport yet, please make the application as soon as possible, the delay may vary between 4 and 8 weeks in France)
- Respect Chinese entry and residence regulations. Participants are at their own responsibility to consult the Chinese regulations and to respect it accordingly.
- For registered students of SUPINFO International University, commit to respect all the conditions set by the China Mobility Guide (FR) without any disciplinary history at SUPINFO.

Then you need to complete your registration at SUPINFO Open Campus by clicking “MY SPACE / Schooling /Enrolment” from your personal space, then the “Summer School” tab and choose the option that you want to register and make payment to confirm your reservation.

Important : The bank transfer must be made with the specific mention “SummerSchool China” followed by your SUPINFO ID and your Name. The transfer fees must be paid by yourself. The proof of the transfer should be sent by email to [email protected] in order to confirm the registration. The participant agrees to pay the difference if the amount received by SUPINFO does not match the tuition fee.
The program is organized in partnership with Beijing University of Technology, SUPINFO Beijing Summer School presents a rich program for international students to learn Chinese language and culture, explore the beautiful and mystery China through the well-organized cultural visits and optional touristic tours. Some Chinese courses and cultural programs are arranged together with other foreign students, which is an excellent opportunity for students to get more international cultural sharing experiences with people of different nationalities.
Detail program :
This course is for beginners including phonetic, grammar, writing Chinese characters. The course starts with the basics of Pinyin (Chinese phonetic), Chinese characters radicals and basic expressions.
This module includes 2 projects related to Chinese society, Chinese culture, Chinese IT development, etc… : one group project and one individual project.
This course is an introduction of the highly-dynamic IT industry in China. Students will discover the major IT players and different leading products in Chinese market.
This course is mainly focused on the presentation of Chinese traditional culture, such as calligraphy and paper cutting, etc.

This module is to show you the historical and natural sites in Beijing, you will discover the history of Beijing and China during different visits.

For the visits in the city, the subway or bus will be used. For the sites outside of Beijing, the transport will be private bus.
Travel to China:
Students should make the air ticket reservations by themselves.
The airlines offering direct flights from Paris to Beijing are: Air France, Air China, Hainan Airlines, China Eastern Airlines. Other companies offer indirect flights with an interesting price: China Southern Airlines, Lufthansa, KLM, British Airways, Finnair ...
Students must provide their flight details (flight number, date and time of arrival in Beijing) to Lan ZHANG ([email protected]
) before 30 June, 2017.
We will inform you the possibility of collective pick up at the airport after reception of your flight information.
The summer school student should apply for a Chinese visa by themselves. After the registration confirmation, SUPINFO will provide the invitation letter for the visa application. (visa F for cultural exchanges or visa L for tourism depending on the Chinese consulate).
For SUPINFO students who will pass the new academic year in China should apply for a X1 visa then change it to a one year resident card. More details on (guide de mobilité Chine

Budget for daily life:
From 300 Euros a month according to the lifestyle.
The living cost in Beijing is vary depending on the lifestyle. Renting is relatively expensive, cheap for transportation and Chinese food; import products are overpriced.

Academic aspects (for SUPINFO students)
The Summer School can be considered as the end year internship if the student can respect the academic obligations:
The presence of participants in Summer School courses is mandatory. An attendance sheet will be signed for each course. Any absence must be justified towards SUPINFO management staff according to SUPINFO Study Rules. From 3 unjustified, student who participate in the Summer School cannot validate the ECTS credits of the internship.
Assessments will be organized for the Summer school participants. SUPINFO student can obtain 10 ECTS Credits related to the internship of the concerned academic year if he/she can get an average mark equal to or greater than 10/20 of the assessments.
This average is composed of 2 marks:
- One mark is linked to student’s participation to the activities and courses (attendance verification especially);
- One mark is based on the average of China Projects evaluation and the assessment of the basic foreign language learned during the Summer School.
